Michael Dorausch transcribed the audio from a video recorded at PubCon 2007 that featured Matt Cutts discussing the best methods for building a website. In the dialogue between Matt and Guy Kawasaki, Matt suggested his three step process for creating a really good site and getting a ton of traffic.
There's obviously nothing Earth shattering here, but the points are well taken. Ultimately, if you want long-lasting SERPs, you're going to have to do it the hard way. That means creating truly exceptional content, frequently publishing blog entries and conducting intelligent search marketing — marketing that is slow and appears as natural as possible to search engines.
